The Riva connection for SugarCRM is used for both on-premise and hosted SuiteCRM (https://suitecrm.com).

Requirement: a connection to SuiteCRM that uses the credentials of an admin account that can impersonate the target SuiteCRM user accounts.

  1. Create a SuiteCRM connection.
  2. Test the connection.
  3. Edit the connection.

Step 1: Create a SuiteCRM Connection

  1. Ensure that you have followed the procedure Prepare SuiteCRM for Riva.

  2. Start the Riva Manager application. On the menu bar, select Setup. In the left pane, select CRM: SugarCRM to open the SugarCRM Wizard.

    • Address: Provide the URL link to the SuiteCRM login window, for example, https://crm.mycompany.com/suitecrm or https://crm.mycompany.com.

    • Only sync contacts with "Sync to Outlook" checked: To enable the "Sync to Outlook" filter, select this check box. Note: This can be an extremely exclusive filter.

    • Use proxy: Specify a unique http/s proxy setting that will apply to this CRM connection.

  5. Select Next.

  7. On the Successful Connection page, select Finish.

The Riva Manager application creates a SugarCRM connection object.

Step 2: Test the SuiteCRM Connection
