You can use SAML for authentication when logging in to Riva Cloud.
To configure SAML login authentication to Riva Cloud:
- On your identity provider, create an application.
- In Riva Cloud, enter the SAML login authentication details.
Step 1: Create an Identity Provider Application
When an admin or self-administering user logs in to Riva with SAML authentication, Riva queries the application on your SAML identity provider to obtain the user’s authentication information for logging in. This information is secured under the SAML 2.0 protocol.
There are a few identity providers, such as Azure, OKTA, and OneLogin for example.

Step 2: In Riva Cloud, Enter the SAML Login Authentication Details

The first time you want to configure SAML authentication, contact the Riva Success Team to enable SAML authentication for your account.

Log in to Riva Cloud at https://www.rivacloud.com.

On the side navigation bar, select the dropdown arrow beside Security, and select Authentication.

On the Authentication page that appears, select SAML Authentication.
Result: The SAML Configuration page appears.

On the SAML Configuration page, enter the following information:

Is SAML Authentication Enabled? Be sure that you contact the Riva Success Team to enable SAML authentication for your account, and select Yes.

Identity Provider Entity ID: (Required field) A value that identifies the identity provider. The value may be similar to https://sts.windows.net/<guid>/

Identity Provider Sign-in URL: The URL used to authenticate to Riva Cloud with SAML.

Identity Provider Logout URL: When users who have authenticated with SAML log out, this is the URL that they are redirected to.

Identity Provider Certificate Content Base 64: (Required field) Enter the contents of the base-64 certificate generated by the Identity Provider.

Select Save.
