To enable Shared Activities:
Step 1: In Salesforce, Enable Shared Activities
-
Log in to Salesforce.
-
Navigate to Setup, and then
-
In Salesforce Lightning: in the Quick Find box, search for Activity Settings. Select the highlighted result.
-
In Salesforce Classic: expand Customize, expand Activities, and select Activity Settings.
-
-
On the Activity Settings page that appears, near the bottom, select the Allow Users to Relate Multiple Contacts to Tasks and Events check box.
Important limitations:
- The Salesforce feature limits the maximum number of related contacts to 50. Riva will only match emails to the first 50 contacts discovered and to a maximum of 50 meeting attendees.
- The Salesforce feature does not support recurring tasks or appointments. Riva will not match multiple contacts as meeting attendees for recurring appointments.

Step 2: In Salesforce, Update the Event Layout
An important operation to complete when working with Shared Activities is to add the Name related list to the Salesforce Event view layout.
-
Log in to Salesforce as an administrative user.
-
Edit the layout for the event view to add the Name related lists.
The adjusted layout displays group events with a contact in the Not Responded attendee list, but not in the Name related list.
