When a user creates an event in Salesforce and indicates both primary contact and various invitees, Riva Cloud and Riva On-Premise include the primary contact as an invitee when syncing that event to the user's Outlook calendar. In some circumstances, this may not be desirable.
Riva Cloud and Riva On-Premise can be configured to ignore the primary contacts for Salesforce events and sync only the attendees.
Implementation for Riva Cloud
Implementation for Riva On-Premise
A connection option in the Salesforce connection is used to manage how the primary contact is synced.
How the Events: Include primary contact (Event.Who) as appointment attendee option works:
-
If the check box is selected, Riva syncs primary contacts of Salesforce events to Exchange meetings as attendees.
-
If the check box is cleared, Riva ignores primary contacts of Salesforce events and syncs only the attendees to Exchange meetings as attendees.
Note: (Riva On-Premise 2.4.36 or higher.) The Events: Include primary contact... check box is configurable only if the second check box above it, Events: synchronize event attendees to event relations, is cleared.
Applies to
- Riva Cloud for Salesforce.
- Riva On-Premise 2.4.28 or higher for Salesforce. In version 2.4.28 and a few versions after that, the Events: Include primary contact (Event.Who) as appointment attendee option was called Include primary contact as attendee.
