Fix for: 'The Authentication Endpoint Username Was Not Found'

Issue

In Riva Cloud or Riva On-Premise, when creating a connection to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Dynamics CRM 2016, or Dynamics CRM 2015, the following error may occur:

System.NotSupportedException: The authentication endpoint Username was not found on the configured Secure Token Service! at Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Client.IssuerEndpointDictionary.GetIssuerEndpoint(TokenServiceCredentialType credentialType) at Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Client.ServiceConfiguration1.Authenticate(TokenServiceCredentialType 

 

Solution

Manage the Active Directory Federation Server (ADFS).

To manage the ADFS:

  1. Start the ADFS Service Manager.
  2. Navigate to ADFS > Service > Endpoints.
  3. Find the URL path for /adfs/services/trust/13/username of type WS-Trust 1.3.
  4. Modify it so that it has a value of Yes for both the Enabled and Proxy Enabled settings.
