Unless Token-Based Authentication is used, NetSuite 2018.2 or higher requires the use of an Application ID for external applications such as Riva to log in to NetSuite.
The Application ID was optional for NetSuite 2015.1 (and newer), but Oracle / NetSuite has made this a requirement with the newer versions.
The Application ID is found in the NetSuite integration record that is created in NetSuite for Riva.
To generate a NetSuite Application ID for Riva to communicate with NetSuite:
-
Log in to NetSuite as an administrator.
-
At Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations, select New.
Result: An integration record and its Application ID are generated.
-
Record the Application ID.
Note: The Application ID is required if not selecting Token-Based Authentication when creating or updating a NetSuite connection with Riva.
