Riva Cloud and Riva On-Premise can link Exchange-created appointments to CRM contacts in a manner similar to the "Regarding" feature. Riva can use the Contacts text box below the description field of the appointment to select contacts from the user's Outlook address book, and Riva will link the appointment or meeting to those contacts without adding them to the attendee's list.
For Riva On-Premise 2.4.38 or higher and Riva Cloud, this functionality is enabled by default.
In effect, Riva can sync the value between NetSuite appointments and Exchange/Outlook appointments:

The Contact Link feature is not enabled by default in Outlook.
To enable the feature in Outlook:
- For Outlook 2013, follow the instructions from Microsoft at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/outlook-2013-show-contacts-below-the-notes-field/43f973a7-157c-4fd1-a405-d10c218d9e7e.
- In Outlook 2010, select File > Options > Contacts, and select the Show contacts linked to the current item check box.
- In Outlook 2007, select Tools > Options > Contact Options, and select the Show contact linking on all forms check box.
- In Outlook 2003, the feature is not available.
