This guide outlines the steps to create and test an OAuth Client Secret-based connection to Microsoft's Modern Exchange Connector (Graph) in Riva.
Prerequisites
Set up a Microsoft Entra Application Registration.
Gather the necessary details for the OAuth Client Certificate connection.
Steps
Step 1: Create and Configure an Azure Application Registration
Create a Microsoft Graph Entra application in the Azure portal.
Step 2: Configure the Connection in Riva Manager
Open the Riva Manager application.
From the menu bar, select Setup.
In the left pane, under Connection Wizards, select Add Email, then choose Microsoft Graph.
On the wizard's Welcome page, select Next.

Enter the following details:
E-mail Address: The primary email for the Riva connection account or any active email with a mailbox which is part of the domain and scope.
Application (Client) ID: The ID from the Azure Application Registration.
Tenant ID: The Directory ID from Entra.
Certificate Name: Click on the ellipsis to select the latest certificate created for the Entra app.

Grant Admin Consent: Select "Request Admin Consent"

Select Next.
Note: After this, the Microsoft 365 login page will appear. Log in with an Administrator account that can approve the application permissions. After logging in, a permissions page will appear; click Accept.
If the connection is successful, select Finish. If not, reach out to the Riva Success Team.
Step 3: Test the Connection
In the Riva Manager application, go to Setup and double-click the Microsoft Graph connection in the right pane.
Verify that the connection credentials are correct.
On the Test page, leave the User E-mail field empty and click Run Test to validate the connection.
If successful, a Connection Test Succeeded message will appear.
