Refresh a Riva Salesforce Connection to Support Custom Audit Field Mappings

This article applies to Riva 2.4.46 or earlier. — For Riva 2.4.47 or higher, see step 4 of using custom Salesforce audit fields with standard impersonation.

 

To refresh the Salesforce connection for it to support the custom audit field mappings:

  1. In Riva 2.4.46 or earlier, in the Riva Manager application, on the menu bar, select Setup.

  2. In the right pane, double-click the Salesforce connection object.

  3. On the Object Definition page, select Refresh. Select each module you added custom fields to in Salesforce, and confirm that Riva picked up those new custom fields.

  4. Select the Impersonation tab. In the Impersonation Audit Fields section, select the appropriate custom field for each audit purpose.

  5. Save the Salesforce connection.

  6. Sync data of each type from the email system to Salesforce.

  7. In Salesforce, confirm that each synced item reflects the correct Created ByCreated On Behalf OfModified By, or Modified On Behalf Of value.
