Issue
On occasion, Riva generates a Windows critical error that indicates the Riva.exe file:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)"
Cause
The .NET Framework is not installed.
To confirm that finding, see Determine which .NET Framework versions are installed.
Solution
-
Use Windows Task Manager to ensure that Riva.exe and/or RivaApp.exe are not running as a process.
-
Install the required .NET Framework version.
- Note: The .NET requirements may be higher for some connections. See
- See Installing the .NET Framework.
