Error: "Unable to Initialize Connection" (Riva On-Premise)

Issue

Starting the Riva Manager application results in a Windows exception error.

In the following sample, "V.V.V.V" stands for the version of Riva Manager, for example 2.4.56.61979.

Cause

The user who is logged in to the Windows system does not have sufficient local permissions to run the Riva Manager application (RivaApp.exe).

Solution

The user must log on to Windows as a user with administrator local permissions.
