Omni.Scheduling.SchedulePostponeException: Unable to connect to remote Exchange server with given credentials. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Unable to connect to remote Exchange server with given credentials. ---> Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceRequestException: Request failed. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
Cause
This Exchange Web Services error indicates that the attempted connection failed because it was unauthorized. This can occur if the Riva connection account to Exchange has undergone a password change, or if the username has been changed.
Resolution
From MMC Users and Computers, verify that the username for the Riva connection account has not been changed. If the username has been changed so that it does not match the username in the Riva EWS connection, modify the username in the Riva EWS connection. If that solution does not work, the issue must be with the password.
-
Launch the Riva Manager application, and select the Setup tab. In the right pane, double-select the EWS connection to edit it.
-
In the Connection Details tab of the window that appears, modify the username to match the AD username.
-
Provide and verify the correct password.
-
Save and re-open the EWS connection.
-
Perform a connection test for the Riva connection account. If the connection test passes, run an impersonation check against some of the target users. If this check works, the password saved in the Riva connection is correct. If the connection test fails, reset the password in MMC Users and Computers and then reset the password again in the Riva EWS connection. Test the connection again.
