Accompanying Versions of the Windows Add-in and Riva Sync
The Windows add-in and Riva Sync versions should be the same version as Riva Insight Server.
Having a Windows add-in or Riva Sync that is more than two versions out of date is not recommended.
Riva Insight On-Premise Server Requirements
Server Operating Systems:
- Windows Server 2019 or higher
- recommended for all new installations
- Windows Server 2016
- minimum for Insight (2020.4 or higher)
Server ASP.NET Framework Versions
- .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher
- minimum for Insight 2020.4 or higher
State Service
- Insight 2020.4 or higher requires the use of a State Service for cache and session management.
- Redis State Service
- highly recommended
- ASP.NET State Service
- Redis State Service
- Configure a State Server for use with Riva Insight.
IIS Server
- SSL/TLS (HTTPS) is highly recommended for all Insight installations
- SSL/TLS (HTTPS) is also required if:
- using “Login with Salesforce” to authenticate
- using the Outlook Web Add-in client
SSL Certificate
- Insight 2020.4 or higher requires an SSL certificate.
- Three options to generate an SSL Certificate for Riva Insight On-Premise.
Authentication
Riva Insight On-Premise supports the following authentication methods:
- Login with Salesforce
- highly recommended if your CRM is Salesforce
- Windows AD Integrated Authentication
- Windows AD Directory Forms
Multi-Server Configurations
Riva Insight optionally supports multi-server configurations with HTTP Load Balancing.
- Requires Layer 3 or Layer 7 load balancers
- Must support sticky sessions via source IP or HTTP Header/cookies
