Install The Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-In From Your Outlook Client

Audience: End users who want to install the addin directly into Outlook
 

Starting with Riva Insight 2022.3, the Outlook Web Add-in must deployed by an Office 365 administrator through the Office 365 Admin console.  Refer to Install the Riva Insight Outlook Web add-in for organization users.


To install the Riva Insight Outlook Web Add-in from Outlook Desktop on Windows or Mac:

  1. In Outlook, on the Home ribbon, select Outlook-Store-Add-ins.png Store Add-ins.

  2. On the left menu, select My add-ins.

  3. Under Custom add-ins, select Add a custom add-in, and then choose Add from URL.

  4. Enter one of the URLs listed at https://support.rivasync.com/hc/en-us/articles/25973765747220-Riva-Insight-Manifest-Generator-to-Obtain-The-URL-to-Install-The-Outlook-Web-Add-in. Ensure that HTTPS:// is included when adding the URL.

  5. In the window, select Install.

    The add-in appears under Custom add-ins.

  6. Close the Add-ins window.

    In Outlook, a Riva Insight icon appears in the toolbar.

To install the Riva Insight Outlook Web add-in from Office 365 or Outlook.com web (browser) based clients:

  1. Log in to Office 365 Outlook.

  2. Open any email.

  3. In the top right of the email, in the Actions bar, select the ellipses: [...].

  4. Near the bottom, select Get Add-ins.

  5. In the window that appears, near the top left, select My add-ins.

  6. At the bottom, select Add a custom add-in, and choose Add from URL.

  7. Enter one of the URLs listed at https://support.rivasync.com/hc/en-us/articles/25973765747220-Riva-Insight-Manifest-Generator-to-Obtain-The-URL-to-Install-The-Outlook-Web-Add-in. 

    Expected result: The add-in appears.

  8. If you do not see the add-in, refresh the browser tab.
