- Overview of Riva Insight Meeting Notes.
New! Exchange to Salesforce: Ability to relate email-task to multiple users
- Applies to the Salesforce non-enhanced email treatment, where emails are tracked in Salesforce as tasks.
- By default, when syncing to an email treated as a task, Riva sets the syncing user as the owner of the task and no other user relationships are added.
- Now, Riva Sync can be configured to have Tracked items sync an email as a Salesforce task that is related to all the resolved entities, be they sender, CRM user recipients, or contact recipients.
- If you want this functionality, contact the Riva Success Team.
New Way to Customize Riva Insight for Salesforce Users
- For Salesforce, the functionality of Riva Insight can now be customized based on data in the Salesforce user profile or record of the logged-in user.
- For an overview, see Customize Riva Insight based on user records or profiles.
New Tools to Relate Records
Available for Track in CRM, and Creates and Updates:
Enhanced Quick Find for the Module Picklist (Standard)
- Available for Track in CRM, and Creates and Updates.
- Background: The Module Picklist (Standard) is a field where an end user relates one item (record) to another item (record). Before this release, the Module Picklist (Standard) already had a search capability and the Recent Quick Find, a list of selectable items used recently.
- Now, the Quick Find can be configured to display both the recent items and a customizable, predefined set of records. Example of Predefined Quick Find: all the open opportunities that have an estimated close date within six months.
New! The Module Picklist (Simplified)
- Available for Track in CRM, and Creates and Updates.
-
The following table briefly compares the existing Module Picklist (Standard) with the new Module Picklist (Simplified).
Module Picklist (Standard) Module Picklist (Simplified) Can be configured to display data from one or more CRM modules. Displays data obtained from only one CRM module. Does not show the full list of items.
Recent or predefined items are selectable through the Quick Find.
Items that are not in the Quick Find must be searched for.Shows the entire list of values the user can select from. The contents of the Predefined Quick Find are built by a configuration that applies no matter which field is selected. The contents of the Module Picklist (Simplified)
can be built by a configuration that applies no matter which field is selected
– or –
can be updated or filtered based on the selection in another field.
- For a more detailed comparison of both picklists, see Record-relating picklists in Riva Insight.

it wasn't possible to
-
Now:
-
The indicator can be turned on or off for accounts, contacts, and/or leads.
- By default, the indicator is On for accounts and Off for contacts and leads.
- Configuring is done in the Admin UI, specifically on the Enrich Icons page.
-
Individual fields can be configured to trigger the Missing Info indicator if they are missing information.
- Note: If one field is missing information, that is enough to trigger the indicator.
- Configuring is done in the Admin UI, specifically on the Enrich Icons page.
-
The indicator can be configured for other modules.

-
The indicator can be turned on or off for accounts, contacts, and/or leads.
Fixed Defects
Riva Insight failed to load the Opportunity module:
- Issue: Riva Insight could not display open opportunities. The following error occurred: "Failed to load module Opportunity. No such column '[column name]' on entity '[Contact]' at Row:nnn Column: nnn."
- Cause: The column name was invalid.
- Decision by Riva: In general — not only for the Opportunities module — an invalid column reference should not prevent Riva Insight from loading a module from the CRM.
- Fix: If an invalid column reference turns up, Riva Insight now removes the invalid reference, resubmits the query to the CRM, and loads the module.
