Riva Insight 2022.1: Release Notes

Server version: Which version do I have?	Insight Server 2022.1
Client versions: Which version do I have?	Outlook Web add-in: The Outlook Web Add-in does not have a version. It does not need to be updated to take advantage of the Riva Insight Server enhancements. Outlook Windows add-in: Get Windows Add-in version 2022.1 In order to benefit from Riva Insight's latest enhancements and improvements, we recommend using the same version of Outlook Windows add-in as the Insight Server. We do not recommend upgrading the add-in to a version that is higher than the Riva Insight Server, as we cannot guarantee it would be compatible.

What's New in This Release

For Track in CRM and Creates and Updates, the related item search has been improved
Instead of showing the search results on the same page, the results now take up the entire size of the side panel
Instead of showing as a table that may require both vertical and horizontal scrolling, the results are now displayed as cards.

2021.4 and earlier	2022.1 and later

In Riva Insight 2021.4 and earlier, if Insight was configured to display additional or custom fields, the entire list of fields are returned.
In Riva Insight 2022.1 and later, if Insight is configured to display additional or custom fields, a base set of fields are returned, along with any of the additional or custom fields that are required by Insight.
If Insight is not configured to display additional or custom fields, only the base set of fields are returned (no change from previous versions).

Depending the type of Outlook add-in you are using for Riva Insight, you may already be impacted, or will be soon.
As Riva Insight is using services from Microsoft, Office 365, and Salesforce, those companies or platforms have announced that they are ending (or have ended) support for Microsoft Internet Explorer. This will, as a consequence also end support for Microsoft Internet Explorer with Riva Insight.
