Setting up Riva Copilot Email Assistant

Riva Copilot streamlines email creation by utilizing generative AI to automatically generate emails within Riva's Email Templates and Cadences tools, making communication more efficient and personalized.

Generating an API Key

Since Riva leverages OpenAI for Copilot's Email Assistant feature, the first step is to create an OpenAI account by visiting OpenAI's platform. After setting up your account, generate an API key by navigating to the "API keys" section on the OpenAI dashboard. You can create the API key using either your personal account or a service account, depending on your preference or organizational setup.

You can either leave the permissions set to "All" or choose "Restricted" and enable the "Write" option under "Model Capabilities" to control access for Copilot's Email Assistant feature. This allows the appropriate level of access depending on your security or usage requirements.

After creating the API key, make sure to copy the secret key immediately, as you won’t be able to access it again once you close the modal.

Adding Key in Riva

Now that you've generated your secret key, it's time to add it to Riva. In your Riva Portal (https://{your-domain}.byriva.com), go to "Admin Settings""General". Under "OpenAI API Key", paste the key and click Save to complete the setup.
