Configuring multiple Riva Insight configurations

This article demonstrates multiple insight configurations within the same Salesforce org. 

In the first section of this article, the steps to configure Group in Email connections will be outlined. Two Corporate admin accounts will be set up within the same Microsoft org but with different group assignments. This section will also demonstrate how to set up a new user with Insight under one of the configured groups and log in using Microsoft 365.

Steps to create Email connection and configure 'Group' 

Step 1: Click on 'Add an Email Connection' for the first Corporate Admin account.

Step 2: Select the Office 365 EWS Connection. In this article, the example used is the Office 365 EWS connection.

Step 3: Enter the validation email, click 'Connect to Microsoft 365', enter the password, and click 'Next' to complete the connection setup.

Step 4: Connection is successful message appears

Step 6: Open the email connection, check the Identity Provider checkbox to configure the Group and click on Save.

In this context, the group of the first account is configured as Fire Island. Please note, Fire Island is an example entry. You can use the group name that corresponds to your organization.

Step 7: Follow steps 1-6 to configure another group under another Corporate Admin account, which in this example is set up as Azores. Please note, Azores is an example entry. You can use the group name that corresponds to your organization.

Please note that if the account has a Salesforce CRM connection, the group in the Salesforce connection will also be set to the same group selected for the Microsoft 365 connection, which in this case is Azores.

 

Step 8: Now, when setting up a user in Insight for the first time, you will have the option to select the Group from your organization during the sign-in process.

 

Step 9: Once a business unit is selected and 'Next' is clicked, Insight is successfully configured.

This second section will demonstrate how two corporate admin accounts are set up within the same Salesforce org but with different group assignments. It will also show how to set up a new user with Insight under one of the configured groups and log in using Salesforce. Please note that in this section, two different corporate admin accounts are used to illustrate how to add this configuration for existing accounts.

Steps to configure 'Group' for Salesforce Connection

Step 1: Configure the Salesforce connection for the first Corporate Admin account with an existing Salesforce connection, open the connection, and select the IdP checkbox to configure the group, which in this example is Marketing.

Step 2: Configure the Salesforce connection for the first Corporate Admin account with an existing Salesforce connection, open the connection, and select the IdP checkbox to configure the group, which in this example is Accounting.

Step 3: Now, when setting up a user in Insight for the first time, click on Sign in with Salesforce.

Step 4: You will have the option to select the Group from your organization during the sign-in process using Salesforce. Choose a Group from your organization during the sign-in process using Salesforce.

Step 4: Insight is configured using the chosen Group
