We’re excited to announce that Enhanced Track in CRM for Riva Insight will be rolling out to your organization in the coming weeks! 

What’s Changing?

As part of this release, we had previously communicated that the 'Track & Send' button would be removed due to the lack of support for Microsoft’s client-side send capability.

We’re happy to share that Microsoft has since introduced this functionality, which means your users can continue using the 'Track & Send' feature as usual, with no disruption to their workflows.

Please note: Microsoft is rolling out this update in phases, so the new functionality may become available in your environment slightly later.

New Release Timeline

  • UAT 2025.1: Available now
  • Production Release 2025.1:
    • Australian & European Data Centers: April 16, 2025
    • North American Data Centers: April 23, 2025

We apologize for the delay in the release of Riva Insight 2025.1, as we’ve taken the time to ensure a smooth and low-impact rollout.

Consideration: Depending on your organization’s needs and workflows, you have the flexibility to use both experiences or choose the one that you prefer.

What Will Users Experience?

With Enhanced Track in CRM, users will now see two tracking options in their Riva Insight Track tab:

1. New! Track with Outlook "Send" 

Track at any time, then use the "Send" button in Outlook to send off the email or meeting invite. This method provides the best performance and minimal delay.

2. Already in Action! Track & Send 

Track & send the email or meeting invite with a single click.

Note: This option may have delays in the tracking process depending on the version of your Outlook client.  Refer to Track & Send Enhancements for more information.

The 2025.1 release will be postponed until further notice is given. We anticipate sometime within the next two weeks. Updated will be provided here.

We will be postponing the release of Riva Insight 2025.1 by an additional week as we complete final testing on the Track State Service. Ensuring a stable and reliable release remains our top priority, and this additional time will allow us to verify that all components are fully ready. We appreciate your patience and will provide further updates as we approach the new release date. The new release date is March 26, 2025, after regular business hours

To ensure a smooth and stable rollout, we are rescheduling the upcoming Riva Insight release by one week to allow for additional testing of the Track State Service. The updated production release date is now March 19, 2025.

Riva Cloud Insight is scheduled to be upgraded to 2025.1. To ensure a smooth transition, we are providing the following schedule:

  • Sandbox (Lower Environments) Upgrade: February 26, 2025, after regular business hours. 
  • Production Upgrade: March 12, 2025, after regular business hours. 

Testing Period

You will have approximately two (2) weeks to test this in your lower environments before the production rollout.

Next Steps

  • Testing: Conduct thorough testing in the sandbox environment after the January 22 upgrade.
    Communication: We will send a reminder notification closer to the February 05 production upgrade date.

Potential Impacts

The upgrade will be completed after regular business hours. During the upgrade, there could be a short window of service disruption (10-20 minutes).
