New! Calendar Invitation Mode for Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector (powered by Microsoft Graph)
Riva now supports Calendar Invitation Mode using the Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector (powered by Microsoft Graph).
What it Does
Invitation Mode controls how meeting invitations and updates are sent when appointments are created or modified in Exchange. It determines:
- Whether invitations are sent or not.
- Who receives them (all attendees, or none).
Available Options
- SendToNone - Do not send invitations.
- SendOnlyToAll - Send invitations to all attendees
Note, with the Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector, calendar invites to all attendees are enabled by default. This means that whenever an appointment is created or updated through Graph, the notification is automatically sent to all attendees.
Attachment sync is also supported while using invitation mode.
New! Task Module Support for Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector (Graph)
The 2025.4 release delivers major changes and quality improvements to Riva’s Microsoft Graph-based Task Module. We now support Task Module using the Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector (powered by Microsoft Graph).
- Initial Sync: Riva retrieves calendar items and tasks from the CRM and adds them to the user’s primary Exchange calendar and To Do list.
- Ongoing Sync: Supports bidirectional or unidirectional syncing. Syncs appointments, meetings, service appointments, handling recurring meetings and delegate assignments.
- Attachment Support: Tasks retain their associated attachments throughout sync cycles, ensuring that related documentation and decision context remain intact.
- Task module supports create, update, and delete capabilities for To Do tasks via Microsoft Graph. This ensures tasks are consistently synchronized between CRM and Exchange, maintaining accurate field mappings
New! Universal Change Detection (UCD) and Change Notifications for Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector (Graph)
When Exchange UCD is enabled, Riva subscribes to Exchange notifications to track mailbox changes, allowing it to synchronize only those mailboxes with updates. This approach reduces the need to poll every mailbox during each sync cycle, lowering system resource usage and improving scalability.
This release brings full support for Universal Change Detection (UCD) and Change Notifications to Riva’s Modern Exchange Connector for Microsoft Graph:
- When UCD is enabled, Graph notifications directly identify which mailboxes and folders have changed, eliminating the need to poll all possible sources and reducing system overhead.
- Any of Streaming, Pull, and Push notification types enable UCD by using Graph notifications to identify changes, avoiding full polling. Each type has different requirements based on features and use cases.
- If UCD is disabled, Sync continues according to the interval and filters in the current policy, polling all selected folders/mailboxes without change-based optimizations.

Enhancements
This release delivers performance improvements and optimizations across Riva Cloud and Riva Insight:
-
Faster Login: Login performance has improved by over 30%, providing a smoother experience in both Riva Cloud and Riva Insight.
-
Improved Loading: Connection and policy loading have been optimized for faster response times.
- More Reliable Graph Migrations: Connection handling during migrations from EWS to Microsoft Graph has been refined to ensure the correct mail connection is loaded based on policy settings (even when there are multiple connections detected).
Other Improvements & Fixes
-
Exchange Connection Screen: The option to Create Graph Connection now only appears on the Exchange connection and no longer incorrectly appears for the CRM Connection.
-
User Management: On the Users page, the option to view a user's sync logs now displays correctly when an Insight Sign On user shares the same email address as the regular Sync user. Previously, if the same email address was used for both Sync and Insight Sign On, the option to 'View Sync Logs' was missing for that user, and were only available through the Sync Logs page.
-
User Filtering: Filtering on the Users page now functions as intended:
- Active Users displays only active users.
- Other Users displays inactive users and those without errors.
