Handling "Mismatched Policy Transactions Folder" Errors

  • Updated

Issue

In Riva On-Premise 2.4.42.32066 up to and including Riva 2.4.43.38554, the "Mismatched Policy Transactions Folder" error may occur and prevent syncing.

The error message indicates that the previously used transaction metadata folder (inside the Riva\Transactions folder) is no longer available. If between service restarts the transaction metadata folder changes, further synchronization is prevented to mitigate any potential issues.

Cause

The sync policy has been configured to detect when transaction metadata has been misplaced, and indeed a folder containing transaction metadata has been deleted, renamed, or moved to a different location.

Solution

In most cases, this error message indicates a misconfiguration that can result in duplicate records or other unexpected results. For assistance to fix this issue, contact the Riva Success Team.
  • If you are not sure or not aware of any changes that would have caused this error, contact the Riva Success Team for help troubleshooting.
  • If you intended deleting, rename, or move that folder, follow the procedure under Making legitimate changes to the location of any transactions metadata. Ensure that this is the proper decision, because the possible side effects may cause duplicate entries. If unsure, contact the Riva Success Team for help troubleshooting.
