What's New in This Release

Track in CRM Now Available in an Improved Outlook Web Add-In

We have released a new version of the Track in CRM Outlook Web Add-in. The Track in CRM Outlook Web Add-in not only works in Outlook for Windows 2013 or higher but also supports Outlook for Mac 2016 and Outlook/Office 365 browser-based desktop clients. It has the same look and feel as the Track in CRM Windows Add-in.

The Track in CRM Outlook Web Add-in supports these clients:

  • Outlook for Windows 2016,
  • Outlook for Mac 2016,
  • Outlook for Windows 2013, and
  • Outlook on the web (Office 365 and Outlook.com).

The best part is that the Track in CRM Outlook Web Add-in does not require any software to be installed on your desktop.

For a table that lists all the differences between both types of add-ins for Track in CRM (and the Insights panel), see Which Riva Insight Outlook add-in is for you?

Note: To assist you if the sync is not properly configured for the Track in CRM Outlook Web Add-in, specific warnings and errors are issued.

Track in CRM: Fixed Defect

Fixed defect:

  • NetSuite appointments tracked with Track in CRM to a contact who was not an attendee did not appear under that contact's recent interactions. — Now, they do.

Insights Panel: Enhancement and Fixed Defects

Enhancement:

  • The search results for custom objects now display the view link button, 2017-3-view-the-contact-in-CRM (1).png.

Fixed defects:

  • For Salesforce: Recent interactions showed more than 90 days of email history for a contact. — Now, the correct maximum of 90 days of email history is observed.
  • The contact icon, Contact-icon.png, was rotating after loading contacts. — Now, the contact icon does not rotate.
  • For the Windows Add-in: If a user was not logged in and opened an email in Outlook, the Insights panel stole focus, which relegated the opened email window to the background. — Now, as expected, the email window retains the focus.

Riva Insight: General Enhancements and Fixed Defect

Enhancements:

  • Performance improvements.
  • Server logging improvements.
  • The Outlook Web add-ins can now be installed directly from an URL.

Fixed defect:

  • After logging out of Riva Insight, the login field was populated with the notification email address instead of the Riva Cloud account login user name. — Now, after logging out of Riva Insight, the login field is populated with the Riva Cloud login user name.
