Release Notes

Riva Insight for Outlook (on Windows)

Release 2017.1. Fixed issues:

  • After searching for an account that had a valid address and selecting the Google Maps tile, this error message occasionally appeared: "Google was unable to find the address and update address in the CRM". The error message was mistaken, because the real issue was that the daily request quota for an API had been exceeded. — Now, if that quota is exceeded, a proper error message appears instead of "Google was unable to find the address...".

  • After a search for a contact, the Recent Interactions section did not display all of that contact's five most recent email messages. It displayed only the emails that displayed the contact in the To field. Those displaying the contact in the Cc field were not displayed. — Now, the five most recent email messages are displayed whether the contact appears in the To, Cc, or Bcc field.

  • Selecting the Settings button multiple times opened the Settings window multiple times. — Now, selecting Settings multiple times opens the Settings window only once.

  • Selecting the Inside View button multiple times for one account opened the Inside View window multiple times for that account. — Now, selecting Inside View multiple times for one account opens the Settings window only once for that account.

  • The CTRL+C (copy), CTRL+V (paste), and Delete key functionalities did not work in the following areas:

    • The Email and Password fields on the Riva Insight login pane,
    • The Search box that appears after logging in,
    • The Track in CRM search boxes, and
    • The Inside View window.

Now, all those areas support the CTRL+C, CTRL+V, and Delete key functionalities.

Note: The Riva Insight side panel does not support the right-click and Paste method.

  • The Riva Insight 2017.1 search supports special characters when they are copied and pasted or when the keyboard language supports special characters. ALT keyboard sequences are not supported. For example, keying ALT+130, which would normally produce the é character, does not work. You need to copy and paste é into the search or use a keyboard that produces é without using the ALT sequence.

  • SAP C4C. After a contact was deleted from an account in SAP C4C and set as obsolete and Riva synced, the Riva Insight panel still displayed the obsolete contact after a search. — Now, the Riva Insight search results do not include it.

  • Because most of the supported CRMs do not rely on the time of tasks, but dates, the automatic time setting has been removed.

  • Searching for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM opportunity in the Riva Insight panel displayed a blank stage value. — Now, it correctly displays the stage value.
The Riva Insight panel did not display the account or the value. — Now, it does.
