We're excited to announce the upcoming release of Riva Insight 2025.2, which includes major improvements to the Track in CRM experience. These updates are designed to improve reliability, performance and compatibility with Microsoft Outlook.
What's Changing?
In this release, users will have access to two enhanced tracking options directly within the Riva Insight Track tab:
Track with Outlook "Send"(New)
- Users can track an email or meeting invite at any time, then use the standard Outlook "Send" button. This option offered better performance and minimal delay.
Track & Send (Existing)
- Users can continue to track and send in one step. However, depending on the version of your Outlook client, this method may have tracking delays. Learn more about Track & Send Enhancements.
- We've worked closely alongside Microsoft as they've rolled out support for Client-side send capabilities, enabling these improvements. Please note: Microsoft is rolling out this update in phases, therefore, the new functionality may become available in your environment slightly later.
Your Riva Cloud Dedicated Insight environment will undergo an upgrade to version 2025.2. To ensure a smooth transition, we are providing the following schedule:
Sandbox Environment Upgrade: May 15, 2025, after regular business hours.
Production Environment Upgrade: June 13, 2025, after regular business hours.
Testing Period
You will have a seven-week testing period between the sandbox and production upgrades to conduct necessary testing and validation. We strongly encourage you to utilize this time to identify and address any potential issues.
Next Steps
Testing: Conduct thorough testing in the sandbox environment after the May 14 upgrade.
Communication: We will send a reminder notification closer to the June 13 production upgrade date.
Potential Impacts
- The upgrade will be completed after regular business hours. During the upgrade, there could be a short window of service disruption (10-20 minutes).
- There will be changes to the user experience. We encourage you to test these changes in the Sandbox environment and communicate them to your user base.
