Summary
Some users may see a new folder appearing in Outlook named RivaConfiguration. Even if the user deletes the folder, it may reappear. This is happening because Riva's sync configuration folder is being exposed in Outlook for the user.
Symptoms / Issue
When encountering this error, users may experience:
- A folder named RivaConfiguration appears in Outlook.
- The folder may reappear even after being deleted.
Creating a new email under RivaConfiguration shows Riva configuration text (e.g.,
riva.SyncSettings(...)).
Resolution / Steps
Fix: Hide the Riva sync configuration folder
- Under the affected user/policy's Advanced Options, add the following key
- Sync.Crm.SyncConfiguration.Hidden = True
- Save/apply the change.
